Mission Statement

To reduce gun violence in communities by using a combination of technology, data, and human intervention to identify, prevent, and resolve conflicts and incidents involving firearms.

Objectives: To achieve the mission statement, the program will have the following objectives:

* To use drones and artificial intelligence to monitor neighborhoods and detect patterns and perpetrators of gun violence using facial recognition and social media data.

* To use outreach workers to identify potential victims and perpetrators of gun violence and develop relationships with them and possibly lead them to resources of employment, education, housing or to utilize the relationship to resolve incidents using the influence of those the outreach workers have engaged.

* To partner with law enforcement and hospitals to share information and coordinate responses to gun violence incidents and matters. 

 To use social media agents and bots to scrape the social media accounts of the areas of interest and target people with content that will influence them to resist gun violence and also possibly engage them through the use of bots or other people of influence who can talk them out of resolving a dispute with gun violence.

Resources: To achieve the objectives, the program will need the following resources:

* Drones and artificial intelligence software that can perform tasks such as surveillance, pattern recognition, facial recognition, and social media analysis. The program will need to comply with the legal and ethical regulations regarding the use of drones and artificial intelligence, and ensure the privacy and security of the data collected and analyzed.

* Outreach workers who are trained and experienced in working with high-risk individuals and communities, and who can provide support, guidance, and referrals to various services and resources. The program will need to recruit, train, and supervise the outreach workers, and provide them with adequate compensation and incentives.

* Law enforcement and hospital partners who are willing and able to collaborate with the program and share relevant information and resources. The program will need to establish and maintain trust and communication with the partners, and respect their roles and responsibilities.

* Social media agents and bots who can perform tasks such as scraping, targeting, and engaging with social media users who are involved or at risk of being involved in gun violence. The program will need to use artificial intelligence and natural language processing to create and deliver effective and persuasive content, and to avoid spamming or harassing the users.

Activities: To use the resources to achieve the objectives, the program will perform the following activities: 

Deploy drones and artificial intelligence software to monitor neighborhoods and collect and analyze data on gun violence patterns and perpetrators. The program will use the data to identify hotspots, trends, and individuals who are involved or at risk of being involved in gun violence, and to inform the outreach workers and the social media agents and bots.

* Deploy outreach workers to the neighborhoods and have them interact with the potential victims and perpetrators of gun violence. The outreach workers will use their relationships and influence to prevent or resolve conflicts, and to connect the individuals with resources such as employment, education, housing, or counseling. The outreach workers will also report their activities and outcomes to the program and the partners.

* Coordinate with law enforcement and hospital partners to share information and resources on gun violence incidents and matters. The program will inform the partners of the data and the activities of the drones and the outreach workers, and receive feedback and assistance from the partners. The program will also cooperate with the partners in responding to gun violence incidents and matters, and in evaluating the effectiveness of the program.
